2023-2024 Reparatory Intention: Reparation for those who instil in children hatred against the Blessed Virgin Mary
November is a good time to remind ourselves of the important messages contained within the apparitions that took place in Fatima over 100 years ago. In particular the value of prayer, sacrifice, penance and reparation for our sins and the sins of others.
Fatima is a message of hope and shows us how much God loves us and how much He wants us to love Him. The Angel's prayer teaches us that through the infinite merits of His most sacred Heart, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the grace and Mercy of Christ is made available to all.
The gift of the First Five Saturday devotion is one means by which we can help atone for our sins and the sins of others. By offering this devotion as an act of reparation we can help save souls and make Our Lady known and loved as requested by the Child Jesus and Our Lady at the apparition in Pontevedra on 10th December 1925. Let us remember especially at this time the Holy Souls in purgatory, who need our prayers and acts of reparation to help them on their final journey to join the Saints in Heaven.
Finally, next year we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the First Five Saturday devotion across all the dioceses of England and Wales. Details of the planned cathedral visits will be released following the WAF-E&W AGM later this month Please pray for a fruitful outcome from the AGM so we may continue to serve our Holy Mother, and help save souls.
Ave Maria
